1. About Cruizy

Cruizy is an online marketplace, operated by MacG TechnoloG, where people and businesses list vehicles for sale and buyers contact them. Cruizy isn’t a party to any sale between a buyer and a seller, doesn’t own or inspect the vehicles, and isn’t a motor vehicle trader.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your login secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. One account per mobile number. We can suspend accounts that break these terms, put others at risk, or that we reasonably suspect of fraud.

3. Listing a vehicle

• You must be the registered person for the vehicle or authorised by them to sell it.
• Your listing must be accurate and complete. You must disclose faults you know about, and must not mislead buyers. Before publishing you confirm this in a seller declaration.
• Official vehicle details (from the vehicle register and inspection records) are shown as supplied by our data providers, with their source and date. If you think one is wrong, use “This isn’t right” and we’ll review it; you can’t edit it directly.
• If you sell vehicles in trade you must be registered under the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003 and use a business account. We flag private accounts that list or sell more than the legal trader threshold.
• Prohibited: stolen vehicles, vehicles you don’t have the right to sell, written-off vehicles not declared as such, anything illegal, contact details or links in listing text, and listings intended to collect deposits or personal information.

4. The AI writing assistant

The assistant suggests wording based only on the details you’ve given and official records. Suggestions are optional. You are responsible for the final text of your listing, including anything you accept from the assistant. Check it carefully before publishing.

5. Scores, badges and ranking

Scores and badges are calculated automatically, as described on how scores work. They aren’t an inspection, valuation or guarantee. Search order is explained on how ranking works. Paid placements are always labelled “Featured” and don’t change normal ranking or scores.

6. Messages and contact

Keep contact on Cruizy until you meet. We scan messages for scam patterns, may show warnings, and may hold or block messages. Don’t send spam, harassment, or requests for deposits before viewing.

7. Buying

Private sales usually aren’t covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act; your remedies are under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 and through the Disputes Tribunal. Dealer sales are covered by consumer law. Always check the PPSR, get a pre-purchase inspection, and see our safety centre.

8. Paid services

Prices are shown in NZD including GST on the fees page. The Consumer Guarantees Act applies to services we sell to you.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Cruizy isn’t liable for the condition, legality or title of vehicles, the accuracy of listings, or the conduct of users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act that can’t be excluded.

10. Changes and contact

We’ll give notice of material changes. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
