Selling privately
Free for the first 1,000 private listings, until 31 Dec 2026. Normally $4.99.
After that: A private listing is $4.99, whatever the car's price. Your listing stays up until it sells, in 90-day cycles you can renew for free. It includes 20 photos and the official vehicle details from your rego.
Private sellers can list up to 3 cars in 12 months. If you sell more often you may be in the business of selling vehicles, which means you must be a registered motor vehicle trader. We’ll ask you to set up a business account.

Phone-verified buyers can contact 3 sellers every 30 days for free (ID-verified: 10). A contact is your first message to a seller or revealing their phone number; replies in an existing conversation are always free. Run out? You can top up 3 more for free once every 24 hours.

Paid placement
Featured listings appear in fixed, clearly labelled slots in search results (positions 1 and 6), labelled “Featured · paid placement”. They must match the buyer’s search. Paying doesn’t change a car’s position in the normal results or its score. Bump moves a listing to the top of “Newest” once. See how ranking works.

Refunds
Unused credits and upgrades can be refunded within 14 days; contact us. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act aren’t affected.
