Ad policy
The rules every ad on Cruizy follows.
We don’t accept ads for
- Cryptocurrency, crypto trading or investment schemes
- Payday loans
- High-cost consumer credit
- Vehicle sellers who need to be registered motor vehicle traders but aren't
- Gambling and betting
- Vehicle-export scams
- Payment, escrow or “shipping agent” scams
We also refuse anything misleading, anything that breaks New Zealand law, and anything that asks buyers to pay outside a safe, traceable method.
Lenders and insurers
Finance and insurance ads must follow the Advertising Standards Authority’s Financial Advertising Code and the Advertising Standards Code, and lenders must meet their obligations under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act. Cruizy doesn’t give financial advice.
Labels
Every ad is labelled on the ad itself: “Ad”, “Sponsored”, “Partner” or “Advertiser”. Paid listings are labelled too. See how Cruizy gets paid.
Targeting
Ads can only be matched to the make, model, body style, fuel type, price band, region, type of page, whether you're buying or selling. Never to a plate, VIN, name, email, phone number or exact location, and nothing about you is passed to an advertiser when you click.
Review
Every ad is checked before it runs, and we can remove any ad at any time. Our own house ads follow the same rules.
